Protect & Preserve Hawaiʻi
Protect & Preserve Hawaiʻi works endlessly to remove invasive species from the island of Oahu. They have had great success in removing invasive species, as well as planting indigenous species that are able to repopulate the land. Their efforts have not only restored the native populations, but educated local communities about invasive and indigenouse Hawaiian plant species.
Plant A Million Corals Foundation
Dr. Vaughan has created a process called micro fragmentation, a rapid growth innovation that reproduces coral reefs at a rate 25 to 40 times quicker than usual. This process produces healthy reef systems that would typically take 15 to 25 years to grow, and compress that time to 1 to 2 years. This high-tech solution is quickly reversing the collapse of our most diverse ecosystem, tropical coral reefs.
